How to Access Samsung Service Menu (Safe Method)

Accessing the service menu on your Samsung OLED TV (S90D, S95D, S90C) unlocks powerful information. You can verify your exact panel types ("Ana Peak"), check total usage hours, and disable automatic dimming features.

However, newer Samsung TVs do not include a remote with the necessary number pad to enter these codes.

⚠️ WARNING: Changing settings in the Service Menu can void your warranty or "brick" your TV. Only enter the menu to VIEW values unless you know exactly what you are doing. We are not responsible for any damage.

Method 1: The Factory Service Remote (Recommended)

The safest and easiest way to access the service menu is to use the official Samsung Factory Service Remote (Model AA81-00243A). This is the tool Samsung technicians use.

Method 2: SmartThings Virtual Remote (Free)

If you don't want to buy the remote, you can simulate it using your smartphone, though it is tricky to time correctly.

  1. Download the SmartThings app on your phone and pair it with your TV.
  2. Open the "Virtual Remote" on your phone screen.
  3. Ensure your TV is ON.
  4. You need to press this sequence rapidly (within 2-3 seconds):

If a small menu ("Hospitality Mode") appears, proceed with these steps:

  1. Press 1234
  2. The full Service Menu should now unlock.

What is "Ana Peak"?

Ana Peak is a voltage reading inside the Advanced → EPA menu. It determines which generation of QD-OLED or WOLED panel you have.

  • 512 = Gen 2 QD-OLED
  • 588 = Gen 2 QD-OLED (Locked)
  • 682 = Gen 3 QD-OLED (The "Jackpot" panel)
  • Other (typically lower) = WOLED (LG Display)

How to Check Usage Hours

For most global models, usage hours are hidden from the normal menu. In the service menu:

  1. Navigate to SVC.
  2. Look for Panel Time or MRT Used.
  3. This number represents the total hours the panel has been active.
